Advertising on HiDental
A dental practice can be shown in three places outside the search results. Each one says in words that it is sponsored or featured. All three are free while HiDental is new.
The three places
Search results: above the first result
One practice that serves the area and the kind of dentistry searched for, shown as its listing. Marked “Sponsored”.
Search results: under the map; after the list on a phone
One practice near the area searched. While no practice has taken it: a message from HiDental, or an advertisement from a partner company. Marked “Sponsored”.
Home page: the row at the bottom
Up to ten practices, by name and city, longest featured first. Marked “Featured”.
A place that nobody has taken yet shows a dashed outline saying it is open. The place beside the results shows a message from HiDental or an advertisement from one of HiDental’s partner companies until a practice takes it. Those companies also have places of their own among and under the results, on the home page, and at the foot of practices’ pages and of reading pages like this one, marked “Advertisement”. They are never shown as a dental practice.
Offers
A practice that manages its listing can publish an offer: a service at an exact price, beside the usual price, with what is included, who it is for and its last day. It shows on the listing and beside the practice’s name in the results, and visitors can ask to see only practices with an offer. HiDental reads each offer before it appears. It is written under Offers in the practice’s workspace. A practice has one offer at a time for each office, free; a practice on a paid package has up to 3.
What it does not do
- It does not change where you appear in search results. Results are in the order the visitor chooses (nearest, best rated or by name) for everyone, and a practice shown in a sponsored place still appears in its ordinary position.
- It is not a rating or a recommendation, and each place says so or is labelled.
- It does not tell you who searched. HiDental counts how many times a listing is shown and how many times its phone, directions and website links are used, and keeps nothing about the visitor.
How to take a place
- Find your practice in the directory and choose "Claim it". Claiming is free.
- Once we have confirmed that you speak for the practice, sign in and complete your listing.
- Write to [email protected] or book a call, and say which place and which area you want.
Only a practice that has claimed its listing can take a place: we show a practice because it asked.
